Major Hydro Scheme in Scottish Highlands
Datrys has been employed to carry out the design and project management of the Langwell Hydro scheme in Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands. The £4.25m scheme, owned by Canaird River Company Ltd, includes a dam, a side intake, a 3km-long 1000mm diameter pipeline, powerhouse and outfall.
The turbine is due for delivery in July with completion scheduled for October 2016.
Datrys were responsible for the civil engineering design of the project together with the site supervision and project management of the NEC contract.
