Bethesda Chapel, Mold
Summary
The ceiling to the chapel was sagging and plaster had become detached and had fallen requiring the building to be closed to the public. Datrys were commissioned to carry out a structural inspection of the roof of the listed building and undertake analytical assessments of the ceiling and roof components to determine the cause for the movement and propose remedial works to enable the chapel to safely reopen.
Access to the roof space was confined and the inspection required the use of harnesses due to the fragility of the ceiling.
