Methodology

What happens when you contact us?

When you contact Datrys, we review your requirements and prepare a detailed breakdown of the brief you have given us.

We draw up a proposal which outlines the ways and means of taking your project forward, listing the services we offer along with any advice and guidelines required to proceed. This proposal will include a fee estimate and schedule of our rates. This document is also used as a control to manage the commission and ensure that the brief is fully met.

Once you accept our proposal, a Project Director and internal Project Manager will be appointed.

The Project Manager will deal personally with you. His / her responsibility is to guarantee the effective completion of your job by checking your needs are fully met during the execution of the work. The Project Manager is available to you for advice and direction throughout.

The Project Director oversees and reviews the work. He / she confirms that everything is carried out in accordance with the firm’s accredited quality assurance procedures.

At the start of your job, a detailed programme of work is drawn up. At this point, staff requirements and targets are matched to the programme.

A conceptual review is also held at the start of a study or design project, when the methodology or design concepts are established.

Further reviews are carried out at key dates in the life of your project to constantly ensure that the output meets your requirements. These reviews also allow us to monitor progress and resources.

Datrys uses effective job cost-control procedures, producing monthly progress reports and job costs through our in-house accounts system.
