The full structural and civil engineering aspects of Phase 1 of a care home
Datrys was employed by Carroll Builders & Contractors of Ruthin as part of a design and build contract.
The project involved demolishing the hospital buildings of the former Ysbyty Bryn Seiont community hospital, clearing the site and undertaking a full new build to the latest standards.
Bryn Seiont Newydd is a 71-bed facility divided into eight small, family-like units
The architects were Denbigh-based chartered building surveyors, Wynn Rogers.
The same design team is currently undertaking Phase 2 of the project – to construct a £3m extra care facility on the site.
Bryn Seiont Newydd was named the best care home in the UK in 2016.

Bryn Seiont Newydd is the brainchild of Mario Kreft and his wife, Gill, who founded Pendine Park just over 30 years ago when they were unable to find suitable social care for their own grandparents.
