We’ve welcomed Wendy Heaton who has started with us as a Project Controller. This role was identified through the analysis we carried out in conjunction with Bangor University and the North Wales Business Academy sessions with the University.
It had a very positive outcome and the benefits of Wendy’s input and data gathering are already to be seen, in the form of improvements in the programming of our projects and resource allocation.
Another element and further spin-off from these sessions is that two of our graduates have attended Project Management training with The Business Academy and we have also been carrying out strategic recruitment, specifically with the Mold office, which has proved successful with two additional engineers to be welcomed shortly.
Working with the Academy gave us a fresh outlook on our business plan and gave us several inputs.
Our Mold Office team has also been very successful in working with Magellan Aerospace, which has meant involvement with the investment they have made as part of a site-wide investment programme.
It is a project that benefits our standing, our thinking and analysis of the business and there are plenty more exciting development on the horizon.
